Concorde: The Last Summer
Despite its fleeting lifespan, Concorde captured the imagination of many. The delta wing design soared through the sky defying distance and time to allow passengers to travel from New York to London in 3 and half hours.
In 2003 Peter captured Concorde’s final summer, prior to its decommissioning in October that year. This project was translated into a book and an exhibition both titled ‘The Last Summer’. The essence of Concorde was the emotion it inspired shown in the simple adoration of its admirers.
“It was only from the outside that you got the heart-skipping brilliance of this supersonic dart. The journey it made was in our heads.”
